The iOS 15.3.1 update was released last Friday 10/02/2022, the macOS versions yesterday. Apple hasn’t said what specific security issues the updates fix, but have recommended them for all users.
For iOS go to Settings > General > Software Update.
For macOS go to System Preferences and select the “More info…” option under “Another update is available” to see and run the updates for your current operating system.
