Further to our blog posted yesterday, Apple have released security update 2017-001 to fix the flaw in the new operating system MacOS High Sierra that made it possible to gain unrestricted entry to a machine without needing the password.
The update can be downloaded by heading to the App Store and checking for new updates. Once you do that, it can be downloaded and installed, it doesn’t require you to restart your computer.
If you require the root user account on your Mac, you will need to re-enable the root user and change the root user’s password after this update.
